Our Center

We are united by a common passion: Sharing the joy of music with children and their families!

Our teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on early childhood and music development research. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together® Worldwide.

Amy Gumenick was first introduced to Music Together when attending as a guest with her nephews (now 9 and 11!) Cut to a decade later, when she became a Mom and found herself doing at home "music classes" with her own baby boy (Covid babies forced us all to get creative!) After several months of improvising, Amy decided to dive deeper and take the Music Together teacher training course where fell in-love with the music, philosophy and strong focus on child psychology/ development. What began as a hobby, became a career, as Amy was certified to teach and open her own center: Music Together of the Westside.

A Westside LA native, Amy grew up in the competitive dance and theater world, where she discovered her love for performance at a very early age. Though the performing arts were constant in her upbringing, she formally cultivated her passion for acting at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned a BFA in theater, graduating with honors and distinction. In tandem with her career as an actor, Amy has taught dance, acting and music to kids ages 0-18 for over a decade. Additionally, she works with various non profit organizations, bringing the arts to children in need. She believes strongly in the transformative power of music and cannot wait to create with you and your family!
